• **PRE-ORDER** - PRIMUS - Various Title LPs

RM 112.00

PRIMUS is one of the most unique and perhaps unlikely bands ever to attain rock and roll stardom. Formed around the talents of bassist Les Claypool in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1994, the band took the tried-and-true route to success, developing a fervent following through dynamic live shows. By the time they released their initial releases, the live Suck on This and the studio recording Frizzle Fry (both in 1990, the band had honed its chops and its initial set of songs to near-perfection.

Miscellaneous Debris LP (180gr vinyl)
Interscope Records

Brown Album 2xLP
Interscope Records
First official vinyl pressing since 1997. Remastered from the original analog tapes. A fantastic, colourful journey through demented novelty compositions and preposterous instrumental rollercoasters that take The Residents’ and Frank Zappa’s blueprints to the most bizarre heights. The results are a unique form of psycho jazz, bass-oriented metal and alt.rock psychedelia, in many ways exemplified by their 1997 release, Brown Album.

Green Naugahyde 2xLP
ATO Records
Green Naugahyde is perhaps the first Primus album to avoid settling into a sub-genre, but rather taking from all the styles in Primus’ back catalog. (Although, if you’re on a bar-stool, you have my blessing to refer to it as their ska-funk album.) There are both upsides and downsides to this paradigm. Treating their previous body of work as a buffet line lets them pick and choose the most successful elements of their music to focus on, resulting in a significantly more solid album than many of their efforts

The Desaturating Seven LP (CLEAR w/ RAINBOW Splatter vinyl)
ATO Records
This is the first studio album of original material since 1995's Tales From The Punchbowl with the classic Primus line-up of Les Claypool (vocals, bass), Larry LaLonde (guitar) and Tim Alexander (drums). The Desaturating Seven is inspired by a 1970's children's book Claypool often read to his kids when they were growing up. The book tells a story of seven goblins - one representing each color of the rainbow - who simultaneously pull all of the color out of the world.
