Tokyo's Blazing STRAIGHT AHEAD HARDCORE — Exclaim’s Discography Reissued with the Masterpiece Album Critical Exploder and Compilation Tracks Added
From the early days of hardcore in the 1980s to its explosive peak, Japan’s hardcore scene saw a surge of intensity. In the late ’90s, a new wave of FAST and POWER VIOLENCE swept through, and at its very core was Exclaim. With blistering speed and a noisy, overwhelming sound, they commanded a powerful presence. Yet, upon revisiting their work, one can sense a breath of artistry and sensibility that goes beyond the confines of hardcore.
Now newly reissued, this release adds the previously unreleased masterpiece Critical Exploder along with compilation tracks, showcasing the band’s evolution. On Critical Exploder, Exclaim displays a matured sound — both musically and emotionally — reaching a creative pinnacle. Though they reached nirvana and sadly disbanded, we are truly grateful that their legacy can now be preserved and shared.
